High-Level Disinfectant – Ortho-Phthalaldehyde (OPA) 0.55% Solution

This product is a high-level disinfectant containing 0.55% Ortho-Phthalaldehyde (OPA), designed for rapid and effective disinfection of medical instruments at room temperature. It is suitable for use in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities.

The disinfectant provides high-level disinfection in just 5 minutes under ambient conditions. It is compatible with a wide range of instruments including flexible and rigid endoscopes, anesthesia and respiratory equipment, dialyzers, as well as dental, OB/GYN, and urology instruments.

Formulated with a neutral pH, the solution is non-corrosive and safe for use on delicate medical devices, helping to extend instrument lifespan. The product demonstrates excellent stability, with a reuse life of up to 75 days after opening and a recommended 14-day reuse cycle. Ensures at least 60 reuse cycles with correct monitoring protocols in place.

Minimum Effective Concentration (MEC) monitoring is required. Firson OPA Test Strips must be used daily before each use or reuse to verify that the OPA concentration remains at or above 0.3%.

The product offers proven efficacy with greater than 99.999% microbial reduction within one minute. It is effective against a broad spectrum of pathogens including MRSA, VRE, fungi, and Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It has also been validated for efficacy against multidrug-resistant (MDR/XDR) tuberculosis and other high-risk pathogens.

The product is manufactured under GMP-compliant conditions, CE marked, and ISO certified. It is exported to more than 20 countries worldwide, including markets across Europe.
